Fishing Trip North of Calder Island South to Snare Peak

April 25-26 2018

With variable winds to 10 knots Capt. Graham Brake and deckhand Dion were able to move around the many marks secreted away in the 25 foot Contenders massive Simrad electronics, working from north of Calder Island south to Snare Peak.

Tim, along with Justin and Rebecca showed their fishing prowess putting together a fine catch of Red Emperor, large Mouth Nannygai, Sweetlip, Mackerel and Cod and by mid‐afternoon on the second day it was pleasing to see Tim rack the rod and say “let’s leave them biting – we have enough!”

As a local charter operator, it gives us great pleasure to show guests our local waters and what they have to offer. Using our snap freeze facility, Tim will be taking boxes of fresh Mackay seafood back to family and friends along with many photos to remind him of a great couple of days.

We look forward to hosting Tim again on his next visit when he is keen to try his hand at chasing the mighty GT on poppers and stick baits.
